At Steward Sounds, students are inspired to love music and are encouraged to pursue excellence in every area of their piano studies. The individual needs and interests of each student are carefully considered and lessons are planned and music is chosen accordingly. Students are led to understand musical concepts and develop skills that will prepare them for whatever their future in piano and music may be.
My goal as a piano teacher is to choose appropriate music which inspires the student to practice and enjoy their time at the piano. In short, we're here to learn and have fun. These skills also become applicable to any instrument they choose to study in the future. Students will find a modern, effective, and fun teaching environment. I have taught private piano lessons in Tulsa since 2002, in Missouri since 1995, and played the piano for 30 years. Classically trained and teaching all musical styles including: Pop, Jazz, Christian, and Classical music. I am proficient in teaching beginners, intermediate, and advanced players. Lessons are available for 30 minutes and 1 hour.
My piano teaching methods include:
Learning Musical Notation
Improving Sight Reading Skills
Understanding Pitch, Improvisation, and Playing By Ear
Students do participate in "Student Only Recitals" twice a year. Talents are also shared through Steward Sounds service opportunities, schools, churches, and nursing homes.
Each of you has been blessed with one of God's many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use your gift well.
